Small cranberry glass bottles with hinged flip top brass lids.
We have a large quantity of these unusually shaped small glass bottles in stock. Hand made in Rajasthan, India, they are both vintage and brand new, in that they have sat unused in a warehouse since the 1970’s. Each bottle shape shows distinct characteristics and the brass lids are generally stained or marked in the way that brass typically ages with time. The lids securely close shut and flip open and closed with a flick of the finger.
Because they look so interesting, because they are so unusually shaped, our customers use these exotic bottles for many things. Not only are they decorative and attractive (and will hold perfume or other liquids) in their own right and make a lovely addition to a dressing table or personal altar/shrine, we often sell them as props to film and theatre sets, to event organisers who use them as table decoration and party favours, and to retailers who make “potions” and bottled “wishes” for sale. Kids love them and use them to hold coloured sands and for their games. Some of our customers have bought them to house a portion of the ashes of a loved one.
