A pair of very high grade silver matching women’s headdress ornaments, hand made, consisting of round medallions worn close to the ears, set with a matching pair of dangling rectangular panels and a 1/4 rupee silver Indian coin, designed to worn to the front. Each ornament is fastened to the headdress close to ears by silver loops
Wear is consistent with the age – early 20th century. The 1/4 rupee coins are dated to 1918. From the Indian=Pakistan border and collected by my father Bernie Heaphy on one of his earliest trips to the region, this very high quality set of ornaments would not be out of place in a museum display case and are very collectable.
