A small cast brass Shiva in serene seated style, displaying right hand raised in the gesture of protection, complete with serpents, trident, drum and moon. The face of Nandi, his mount, sit’s directly underneath him. This piece has some rubbing, particularly on the right hand side of the face and displays softened edges from decades of handling. It has a naturally darkened patina and is approximately 80 years old, or older. From Gujarat, India. Altogether a lovely, old piece with real age and history.
